Close to Home Organics is a small-scale, family farm operation run by Chris Bodnar and Paige Dampier. We started farming in 2007, and formed Close to Home Organics in 2011 as we developed a vision for our business. We live and farm at Glen Valley Organic Farm, a beautiful 50-acre property on the banks of the mighty Fraser River and within the unceded, ancestral territories of the Matsqui First Nation and Kwantlen First Nation, both of the Stό:lō Nation. The Stό:lō people have lived in the Fraser Valley for 10,000 years and we acknowledge the traditional territory in which we reside and grow food.
Our priority is, and has always been, to grow quality organic produce for local markets, in a way that is sustainable for the soil, our business, and the humans who power it.
Heading into the 2026 season, our focus is on growing to supply our Community Shared Agriculture program, which delivers weekly boxes of produce to members throughout the Lower Mainland. Our produce is certified organic by the Pacific Agricultural Certification Society (PACS).
